Volunteer Opportunities: Join the Stargaze Festival Team!

Are you passionate about creating memorable experiences and supporting the LGBTQ+ community? The Stargaze Festival needs YOU! 🌈✨

We’re excited to announce volunteer opportunities for the Stargaze Festival, happening from August 23-25 in Tolland, MA. Volunteering is a fantastic way to contribute to a meaningful event, meet new people, and have a lot of fun! Here’s everything you need to know about joining our amazing team.


Why Volunteer at Stargaze Festival?

1. Be Part of a Community: Volunteering at the Stargaze Festival means joining a supportive and vibrant community. You’ll work alongside other dedicated volunteers and festival organizers to create an inclusive and joyful atmosphere.

2. Gain Experience: Whether you’re looking to build your resume or simply gain new skills, volunteering offers valuable experience in event planning, hospitality, and customer service.

3. Enjoy Perks: As a scheduled volunteer, you’ll work 5-10hrs in exchange for your festival pass (valued at $250), and complimentary meals during your shifts. Plus, you’ll get a special festival volunteer t-shirt as a token of appreciation.

4. Make a Difference: Your contribution helps make the festival a safe, welcoming, and fun space for everyone. It’s a rewarding experience knowing you’re making a positive impact on the LGBTQ+ community.


Volunteer Roles Available

We have a variety of volunteer roles available to suit different interests and skills. Here are some of the key positions we’re looking to fill:

1. Greeters:

  • Role: Welcome guests as they arrive, provide information, and direct them to registration.

  • Skills Needed: Friendly demeanor, good communication skills, and a welcoming attitude.

  • 10AM-5PM – Friday August 23rd


2. Neighborhood Hosts:

  • Role: Greet guests and show them around their designated neighborhood or campsite. Help attendees get settled and provide assistance as needed.

  • Skills Needed: Knowledge of the festival layout, helpfulness, and good interpersonal skills. (arrive early and we will give you the rundown)

  • HOURS: 10AM-5PM – Friday August 23rd – and checking in with folks throughout the weekend.


3. Early Bird Coffee Shop Helpers:

  • Role: Assist with setting up and running the coffee shop in the mornings. Serve coffee, pastries, and other breakfast items.

  • Skills Needed: Morning person, ability to set up coffee shop and keep a steady flow of coffee coming.

  • Hours: 7AM – 11AM Sat Aug 24 & 7AM-11AM Sunday Aug 25


4. Event Setup Crew:

  • Role: Assist with setting up festival decorations and infrastructure before the event.

  • Skills Needed: Physical stamina, teamwork, and a can-do attitude.

  • Hours: 5-10 hours Thur or Fri Aug 21st or 22nd before the event begins


4. Event Teardown Crew:

  • Role: Assist with breaking down & cleaning up all festival decorations and infrastructure after the event.

  • Skills Needed: Physical stamina, teamwork, and a can-do attitude.

  • Hours: 5-10 hours Sunday Evening, or Mon Aug 26 After the event ends

3.    Attend a Training Session: Once your application is reviewed, you’ll be invited to attend a volunteer online training session to prepare you for your role.


4.    Get Ready to Shine: Mark your calendar for August 23-25 and get excited for an unforgettable experience!
